Prison + Neighborhood Arts Project

The Prison + Neighborhood Arts/Education Project (PNAP) builds relationships of reciprocity that bring artists, scholars, and writers together with incarcerated people, their families and communities. PNAP believes that access to art and education is a fundamental human right with the capacity to transform people, systems, and futures. The organization’s cultural projects come directly from the experiences of folks inside and are created around what they want to say to communities outside the prison.
